1. 15 1/4" John Juzek Viola: This gorgeous viola is German made shortly after WWII, circa 1950. The original label reads: "John Juzek formerly in Prague." Although this viola may not be the more popular pre-war Czech made John Juzek, it is still an unusually high-grade viola for being post-war German. Having a beautifully transparent golden-reddish-brown oil varnish, this viola certainly looks like a classic Czech Juzek viola. The two-piece back has well-defined tiger maple wood with moderate flame. Ribs, neck, and scroll to match. The front is made from spruce wood with straight and narrow grain. Fluted f-holes! Bromberg-style fingerboard. Stradivarius model. The overall craftsmanship is splendid. Simply a top-notch viola in excellent condition with a big, bold sound with strong projection. $3,500.00 
2. 15 3/8" Unlabeled Antique German Viola: This beloved viola was owned by a Principal Violist of a professional orchestra. It was her first "serious" viola when she was a teenager. What a little treasure this old viola is! The original oil varnish is of a golden-nut-brown color with some areas of eye-pleasing craquelure. Two-piece tiger maple wood back with light to moderate flame. Ribs, neck, and scroll to match. Two-piece front with narrow, but endearingly wavy grain. Looks to be made in Mittenwald, Germany with Klotz-like f-holes. Circa 1910s. High-arched belly which is responsible for producing a sweet, mellow sound with a very pleasing warmth. This viola is in excellent condition and is cute as a button. An aspiring violist will certainly mature a lot with this viola. MUST SEE! $3,000.00
